Inspired by Experience

            

My name is Kelly Cameron and I'm the creator and owner of The Velvet Tallow Skincare. I was inspired to make natural and tallow-based skincare by my own path to recovered health and by reversing early Type 2 Diabetes through animal-based eating.

Along that journey, I realized the importance of using natural products in our homes and on our bodies. Once I discovered the moisturizing, skin nourishing benefits of using ancestrally-appropriate beef tallow on my own skin, I knew I had to spread the word. I also believe that using tallow is in keeping with the “Nose to Tail” philosophy of using the entire animal and honors these beautiful creatures who help nourish our bodies.

At The Velvet Tallow, we personally & meticulously craft our skincare products by hand. We also craft other natural products that are clean swaps for products typically found in big box stores. Our shop is located on the Louisiana bayou, and take great pride in bringing customers an option of simple, ethically-sourced skincare products they can feel good about using.
